Estimating the Marginal Effect of a Continuous Exposure on an Ordinal Outcome using Data Subject to Covariate-Driven Treatment and Visit Processes

Published in Statistics in Medicine, 2021

We extend previous work (Coulombe et al., 2020, Biometrics) to the setting where the outcome is ordinal and the exposure is continuous using a generalized IPT weight and a proportional odds model. We estimate the causal marginal OR for the continuous exposure on the ordinal outcome.

Estimation of the Marginal Effect of Antidepressants on Body Mass Index under Confounding and Endogenous Covariate-Driven Monitoring Times

Published in Annals of Applied Statistics, 2021

We tackle estimation of the marginal effect of a binary exposure in settings where the covariate process interacts with monitoring times all throughout follow-up time (we call “endogenous” such process). We also depict via several causal diagrams the biasing paths caused by covariate-driven monitoring times.
